Job summary

Hudson Singapore is actively seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to design and develop electrical, embedded, and motion control systems for advanced semiconductor equipment in Singapore. The role requires hands-on hardware design experience, FPGA expertise, and strong problem-solving skills.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, simulate circuits, and build prototypes, contributing to system improvements and robust documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Hands-on hardware design experience including FPGA, motion control, and drivers.
• Proficient in circuit and PCB design; PID control knowledge is a plus.
• Familiar with VME, PCIe, RS485, Ethernet, LVDS, and SerDes protocols.
• Experience in the semiconductor equipment industry and strong teamwork.

THE COMPANY

Our Client is a renowned organisation in the Semiconductor industry with a strong presence worldwide. They are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Semiconductor equipment) as part of their expansion plans in Singapore, reporting to the Design Manager.

THE ROLE

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Semiconductor equipment) is responsible for:

• Design and develop electrical, embedded, and motion control systems for advanced semiconductor equipment
• Create and simulate digital and analog circuits, including FPGA-based designs
• Build, test, debug, and support prototypes, PCBA, cables, and system integration
• Work with cross-functional teams to solve technical issues and improve system performance
• Analyze system data and prepare technical reports to support development and improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience in hardware design, FPGA, motion control systems, and drivers
• Knowledge of circuit design, PCB design, and basic control systems (PID is a plus)
• Proficient in Zuken E3 for cable harness and electrical design documentation.
• Familiar with communication protocols such as VME, PCIe, RS485, Ethernet, LVDS, and SerDes Experience with stepper motors, motion control, motor drivers, and microcontroller.
• Experience in the semiconductor equipment industry, with strong problem-solving skills and teamwork.
