About The Job

The Senior Director – Business Development will be reporting directly to the Country Head in Hong Kong and will help to oversee our local business development practice.

• Point of contact for new local business opportunities
• Process and manage new business requests, working closely with the Managing Director
• Organize initial contacts and follow up with opportunities
• Prepare feasibility studies and propose potential projects to Synpulse management
• Work together with Synpulse’s global sales team in closing deals
• Prepare management reporting and sales forecasts
• Maintain personal network with the financial industry
• Maintain top management relationships with local clients
• Escalation point for client concerns
• Overall responsibility for the success of local projects
• Make sure of suitable team composition and availability
• Management and coaching the team members

Job Requirements

About you:

• University graduate with degree in computer science, business administration, or equivalent
• Know‑how of B2B sales strategies
• Track record in business development and sales to the financial industry in Hong Kong (preferably with Mainland Chinese, local Hong Kong and Taiwanese financial institutions)
• Possess strong network with decision makers in the Hong Kong financial services industry
• Ability to establish business relationships with client’s top level management
• Functional knowledge of banking, insurance, or other financial institutions
• Experience with large software implementation projects and direct client exposure an advantage
• Outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Have entrepreneurial spirit
