Job summary

Synpulse Hong Kong Limited is building a new technology team in Hong Kong and seeks a strong backend engineer with Java, microservices and cloud experience to join our dynamic consulting environment.

You will collaborate across regions, contribute to core libraries, adopt DevOps and CI/CD, and continuously improve scalable platforms while exploring AI-enabled tooling to enhance delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong Java skills with OO design experience.

Job Duties

• Strong developer with high quality engineering and problem solving skills.
• Continuously support and contribute to the core library and system design
• Design and implement technology features.
• Conduct code reviews, technical design and architecture reviews.
• Perform system enhancement and monitor performance and to document any application changes
• Work closely with technical and cross functional teams, regional senior stakeholder
• Agile principle, methodologies and devops adoption of CI/CD/CM.
• Self-driven mindset, demonstrate strong leadership capability and team‑oriented goals

Job requirements

• Strong core Java skills with Object‑Oriented design architecture experience.
• Microservices and Caching technologies.
• Manage high volume of data processing and document Databases.
• Quick learner and ability to understand and follow functional processing of the system.
• Experience in Devops environment and Agile practice
• Strong experience in devops and cloud deployments.
• Enterprise with designing and building scalable platforms.
• Desire to learn functional domain.

AI requirements

• Demonstrates a foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI), with a strong willingness to learn and effectively leverage AI‑enabled tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, collaboration, and business outcomes
• Understands the basics of AI and emerging technologies, with the ability and enthusiasm to adopt AI tools and solutions in day‑to‑day work
• Applies AI‑enabled tools to support consulting activities such as research, documentation, analysis, project coordination, and problem‑solving, while continuously developing AI capabilities to improve efficiency and quality of delivery
