Job summary

Auros is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a globally distributed team supporting high-performance trading infrastructure. The role focuses on performance, reliability, and security across CeFi/DeFi platforms, with on-call rotations and continuous improvement of automation.

You will work to reduce latency, ensure 24/7 uptime, and partner with trading, engineering, and security teams to deliver robust, scalable systems in a demanding digital asset environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps/SRE roles focused on high-performance, production-grade systems.
• Proficiency in Linux admin and experience in managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency with containerized workloads (Kubernetes essential).
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities using Python and Bash; Go/JavaScript/TypeScript a plus.
• Hands-on experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana) and production incident response.
• Hands-on experience with AWS; Google Cloud, Azure desirable.
• Experience with automation and IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Understanding of performance engineering at system and network levels.

Responsibilities

• Ensure performance and reliability of mission-critical trading infrastructure across compute, network, storage, and application layers.
• Support and improve highly available, low-latency systems under global trading load with strong automation and self-service.
• Participate in a daytime rotational on-call schedule and perform root cause analysis and preventive improvements.
• Use metrics/observability tools to detect anomalies and support incident response.
• Build, manage, and scale infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.
• Collaborate with trading, engineering, and security teams to align infra with application needs.
• Implement security practices including IAM, threat detection, and secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply low-level optimization strategies to improve throughput and reduce latency.
