Job summary

NLS Executive Search is assisting a global trading firm in Hong Kong to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer. You will modernize deployment systems, evaluate new technologies, coordinate with DevOps and trading teams, and drive the migration.

You will automate deployment and testing, build real-time and historical data pipelines for Quant and Trading teams, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior engineers. Fluent English and 5+ years of core DevOps experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 5+ years in DevOps or systems engineering.
• Proficiency in deployment systems, orchestration, CI/CD.
• Experience coordinating across teams.
• Strong Python/Golang and shell scripting.
• Kafka familiarity.
• Excellent English communication.

My client, a global trading firm, is actively seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team in Hong Kong.

The role:

• Play a pivotal role in modernizing the deployment system by evaluating and selecting new technologies, engaging developers, collaborating with DevOps and trading system teams, and overseeing the migration process.
• Seamlessly integrate the new deployment system into the development workflow, focusing on automating deployment and testing processes.
• Automate developer tools, streamline workflows, and facilitate trader script deployment to enhance operational efficiency.
• Create real-time monitoring solutions to optimize the performance of IT teams company-wide.
• Engineer and enhance data pipelines to efficiently deliver both real-time and historical data to Quant and Trading teams.
• Offer technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

What you offer:

• Over 5 years of professional experience in roles such as DevOps, Systems Engineering, or similar
• Proficiency in modern deployment systems, orchestration tools, and CI/CD pipelines
