Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build and maintain the infrastructure powering its quantitative research and trading platforms. You will work closely with developers and researchers to ensure robust CI/CD pipelines and scalable deployment strategies.

You will manage cloud infrastructure on AWS with a focus on EKS, oversee on-prem systems, and drive automation, monitoring and security best practices across both environments.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation.
• Proficiency with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda and networking components.
• Hands-on experience managing on-premises production systems with high availability.
• Monitoring, logging and security best practices for cloud and on-prem environments.
• Excellent English communication skills for cross-location coordination.
• Ability to document workflows and troubleshoot issues clearly.
• A proactive mindset driving process improvements and automation.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining environments for Python development, ensuring optimal performance, compatibility and security.
• Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software delivery across multiple environments.
• Architecting and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS, with a strong focus on EKS (Kubernetes) for container orchestration.
• Ensuring the stability and security of on-premises production systems, including infrastructure automation and monitoring.
• Implementing and managing automation tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Collaborating with globally distributed teams, ensuring smooth communication and coordination between teams in different time zones.
• Driving best practices in DevOps, infrastructure as code (IaC) and security compliance.
