Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) in Hong Kong is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to own end-to-end cloud and on‑prem environments, focusing on AWS deployments, on‑prem container platforms, and automation.

You will collaborate with trading desks, researchers, and engineers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, delivering quickly with business outcomes in mind.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with AWS services and infrastructure.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes, including on-prem clusters.
• Strong CI/CD knowledge and tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Python or Bash automation proficiency.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
• Solid Linux, networking, and performance optimization skills.
• Time synchronization concepts (NTP/PTP).
• Self-sufficient in delivering production-grade solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end infrastructure across cloud and on‑prem lifecycles.
• Design and execute deployment strategies on AWS and extend to on‑prem containers.
• Collaborate with trading desks, researchers, and developers to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Drive CI/CD adoption, automation, and IaC practices for both cloud and on‑prem estates.
• Engineer and maintain network, security, and monitoring for production trading systems.
• Support container workloads (Docker, Kubernetes) on AWS and on‑prem platforms.
• Evaluate new tooling to improve DevOps efficiency and remain outcome-focused.
• Act as a liaison between engineering and business teams to align infra decisions with goals.
• Help shape architecture in ambiguous, evolving roadmaps.
