Job summary

Viu, a leading Hong Kong‑based OTT service, seeks a Senior Data Engineering Manager to build robust data infrastructure, BI, and analytics platforms. You will lead a cross‑functional team to support regional business needs and implement a forward‑looking data strategy across markets.

You will own data delivery, governance, quality, and cost controls, partner with analytics to ensure high availability, and drive scalable pipelines using Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, and Kafka.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, and team leadership.
• Degree holder, preferably in statistics, computer science, or related quantitative disciplines.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python with hands‑on experience applying LLMs or agentic AI to engineering development.
• Track record of managing end‑to‑end data delivery, from requirements gathering to L2 enquiry support.

Responsibilities

• Data Delivery and Lifecycle: Prioritize data requests and translate business needs into scalable engineering deliverables.
• Data Engineering Management: Lead and manage the data engineering team, overseeing end‑to‑end solutions, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Data Product & AI‑Driven: Drive data product development leveraging agentic AI and suitable LLMs to streamline operations.
• Data Quality & High Availability: Enforce data quality standards and optimize system performance.
• Governance & Efficiency: Monitor data usage, manage cost controls, security, access, and query performance.
