Job summary

Acclime is seeking a diligent financial due diligence analyst to review historical and current trading performance, identify key drivers and risks, and prepare clear findings for valuation discussions with management.

You will coordinate with deal teams, assess liabilities, prepare reports and information memorandums, and support the creation of deal materials. Willingness to travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related discipline.
• At least two years of relevant experience in financial due diligence, transaction advisory, audit or consulting.
• HKICPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Sound knowledge of accounting standards, exposure to valuation concepts and HK Listing Rules advantageous.
• Strong analytical capabilities to analyse financial statements and identify earnings and working capital trends.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business, industry and economic issues.
• Excellent written communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; data analytics tools a plus.
• Strong command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
• Willingness to travel to client sites.

• Identifying potential liabilities and risks that impact valuation and negotiation of the transaction.


• Reviewing financial information and supporting schedules and leading discussions with target management on follow-up information requests.


• Preparing clear and concise due diligence reports highlighting key findings and their potential implications for valuation and SPA negotiations.


• Preparing deal materials (such as teasers and information memorandums) to support sell-side projects.


• Working closely with internal workstreams to deliver coordinated advice.


• Supporting the team on other consulting and special assignment projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.


• At least two years of relevant experience in financial due diligence, transaction advisory, audit or consulting.


• Professional qualification with HKICPA or equivalent is preferred.


• Sound knowledge of accounting standards, with exposure to valuation concepts and Hong Kong Listing Rules considered an advantage.


• Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to analyse financial statements, evaluate business performance and identify earnings and working capital trends.


• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of relevant business, industry, and economic issues.


• Strong written communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to present financial findings clearly and concisely.


• Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong collaborative mindset.


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data analytics and visualisation tools is an advantage.
