Job summary

KPMG China is seeking fresh graduates to join Transaction Services in Hong Kong. You will work with a team on due diligence, financial analysis, and cross-border deal advisory projects, gaining exposure to the financial services sector.

The role requires a final-year student or above with accounting/business background, strong English and Mandarin, and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Permanent residents or those with the right of abode are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above from a recognised university.
• Ideally majoring in accounting and business-related or equivalent disciplines.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin; Written Chinese is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; high execution ability and teamwork.
• Permanent resident or right of abode in the location you are applying for.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of transaction advisory professionals on due diligence and related advisory projects.

About Transaction Services

KPMG Transaction Services advises a wide range of clients on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions. Our Financial Services team focuses on transactions involving target companies in the financial services industry, from fintech to insurance companies, banks to asset managers and securities brokers to crypto-currency exchanges in the Asia Pacific region. We are an international team with diverse backgrounds reflecting Hong Kong’s role as an International Financial Centre. KPMG Transaction Services provides various types of buy-side and sell-side deal advisory support throughout the deal cycle:

• Pre-deal buy-side due diligence
• Sell-side assistance including vendor due diligence and vendor assistance
• Cross-border transaction assistance
• Completion assistance
• Sales and Purchase Agreement support

We help our clients identify opportunities and risk in their transactions (including acquisitions, disposals, joint venture and buy-outs). Specific experience of financial due diligence will be highly regarded but is not essential. We welcome applications from exceptional individuals who have the aptitude and drive to develop the required transaction services skills.

About The Role

We are looking for fresh graduates to join KPMG Transaction Services where you will:

• Work with a team of transaction advisory professionals and other advisory functions to execute due diligence and other transaction related advisory projects
• Carry out financial analysis on investment target to highlight deal related issues and suggest solutions
• Proactively participate in the execution of due diligence projects and assist team members in completing assigned tasks, including financial statement analysis, business data analysis, industry research, and accounting-related studies
• Assist the project team in writing due diligence reports and data manuals
• Assist in the production of relevant materials required for project bidding, participate in project process management and other related supporting work

Requirements

• Final year student with a bachelor’s degree or above from a recognised university
• Ideally majoring in accounting and business-related or equivalent disciplines
• Strong interest in Transaction Services and financial services industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen business sense and insight.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin. Written Chinese is preferred
• High execution ability and strong teamwork awareness
• A permanent resident or holder of the right of abode in the location you are applying for
