Job summary

The Bank of East Asia, Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an IT Operations Supervisor to monitor IT Operations, support Incident Management and ensure security controls for data centres. You will lead a 7x24 support team and ensure compliance with regulators and SOPs.

The ideal candidate has supervisory IT experience, strong UNIX/Windows knowledge, and proficiency in English with Cantonese. This on-site role is based in Kowloon Bay area with demanding shift work and strict risk controls.

Qualifications

• HKCEE/HKDSE with 5 subjects including Chinese, English and Mathematics at Level2 or above.
• Preferably over 5 years’ of related IT experience covering supervisory roles.
• Experience in UNIX and Windows environments.
• Knowledge in IBM z/OS and z/OS utilities.
• Knowledge in Job Scheduling tool.
• Holder of ITIL foundation certification is an advantage.
• Proficient in spoken & written English; Cantonese is a plus.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Monitor the process of IT Operations


• Support Incident Management


• Perform physical security control of the data centres


• Ensure subordinates to comply with the rules & regulated requirements of governing authorities


• Observe and analyze ongoing operations, identify problems and provide improvement suggestion


• Monitor and maintain service quality of the IT Operations & ensure they have strictly followed the standard operating procedure


• Assist Senior Shift Supervisor to improve the skills of staff


• Perform any other duties as directed by supervisor


• Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity; and


• Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work

Requirements

• 24-hour rotational shift duty required (including Sunday and public holidays)


• HKCEE/HKDSE with 5 subjects, including Chinese, English and Mathematics at Level2/Attained/Grade E or equivalent / above; OR


• Preferably over 5 years’ of related IT experience covering the following:


• At least 3 years in supervisory position


• Experience in UNIX, Windows


• Knowledge in IBM z/OS and z/OS utilities


• Knowledge in Job Scheduling tool


• Solid knowledge & experience in maintaining scalable & mission critical IT infrastructure with network, storage, high availability & resilience


• Solid experience in managing a 7x24 support team


• Holder of ITIL foundation certification is an advantage


• Proficient in spoken & written English


• Good command in Cantonese, Putonghua is an advantage

Salary

• 20000 - 25000 / MONTH
