Job summary

Sun Life is seeking an experienced Claims Leader in Hong Kong to oversee complex life insurance claim handling, mentor junior staff, and build medical cost/quality control guidelines. The role includes managing TPAs relationships, appeals, and stakeholder communications to drive efficient claims operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in life insurance claims, with 2+ years in a managerial capacity, and strong data analysis, leadership, and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• University degree in business, healthcare administration, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of life insurance claims experience; 2+ years in a managerial role.
• TPAs relationship management experience.
• Excellent leadership, data analysis, and reporting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and regulatory compliance in insurance.

Responsibilities

• Handle and assess complex claims, including escalation cases.
• Manage claims appeals and complaints with appropriate review and resolution.
• Communicate with distribution channels and stakeholders on claims inquiries.
• Manage mini projects and initiatives in claims operations.
• Conduct market intelligence and benchmarking on claims practices.
• Drive operational efficiency by identifying process improvements.
