Job summary

Arup in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Associate Director – Civil Engineering to lead the delivery of major infrastructure projects, strengthen client relationships, and help shape Hong Kong’s infrastructure development. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status with a recognised professional institution.
• 20+ years' post-qualification experience in civil engineering and infrastructure delivery.
• Extensive experience leading major infrastructure projects in Hong Kong.
• Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven success in business development, proposal preparation, and work winning.
• Experience leading and mentoring multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and market knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership across large-scale area development, highways, and civil engineering programmes.
• Build and maintain relationships with government authorities, infrastructure agencies, developers and stakeholders.
• Identify and pursue strategic business opportunities within the HK infrastructure market.
• Lead the preparation of compelling proposals, bids and presentations to secure new work.
• Mentor and develop multidisciplinary teams, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
• Enhance Arup's profile in the local infrastructure sector through industry engagement and leadership.
• Collaborate with regional and global colleagues to deliver innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
