Job summary

CLSA is seeking an IT Business Analyst in Hong Kong to bridge business stakeholders and the IT team, focusing on analyzing securities, brokerage, and wealth management needs and translating them into actionable technology solutions.

You will document requirements, perform gap analyses, draft functional specs and user stories, collaborate with developers, support UAT, and create user guides, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and effective project delivery.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in securities, banking, brokerage, wealth management.
• Development skills in Java and at least one Java framework.
• Strong understanding of securities trading, brokerage operations, funds, bonds, and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, and data analysis.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Team player who can work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and IT to analyze and implement technology solutions for securities-related needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for securities and brokerage operations.
• Conduct gap analyses between current and future state processes and technology solutions.
• Prepare functional specs, user stories, and use cases aligned with business goals.
• Work with development managers and teams to design and review technical solutions.
• Participate in project planning and monitor progress, reporting to stakeholders.
• Support UAT to ensure requirements are met and provide training on new systems and processes.
• Develop user guides and documentation as needed.
