Job summary

Currenxie is seeking a Senior Compliance Operations Associate to join our Compliance Operations team in Hong Kong. You will execute BAU tasks, prepare operational reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize compliance workflows for cross-border payments.

With 6+ years in operational compliance or AML roles and CAMS desirable, you will analyze data, identify risk indicators, and maintain regulatory readiness in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of operational compliance or AML-focused experience in payments, MSB/MSO, or banking.
• CAMS or equivalent accreditation is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with compliance tooling and data analysis systems.
• Strong knowledge of risk and regulatory matters in cross-border payments.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; Asian language skills are advantageous.

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Compliance Operations Associate to join our growing Compliance Operations team and play a vital role in executing day-to-day operations and risk management functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily Business As Usual (BAU) operational tasks, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive operational reports to support management’s decision-making, audit readiness, and record-keeping
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams (including Client Support, Product, and IT) to streamline operational workflows and enhance process efficiency
• Quickly learn, adapt to, and optimize internal compliance platforms, software tools, and data systems
• Proactively develop and manage ongoing banking relationships
• Conduct in depth account reviews, demonstrating the ability to identify outliers in transaction flows, day to day activity and changes in corporate structures

Requirements & Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent higher education qualification
• 6+ years of relevant experience in operational compliance or AML-focused roles within payment services, the MSB/MSO industry, or the banking sector
• CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or equivalent professional accreditation is highly desirable
• High proficiency with emerging technological solutions, compliance tooling, and data analysis systems
• Strong technical knowledge and sensitivity regarding risk and regulatory compliance matters in the cross-border payments industry
• Demonstrates commercial acumen and sound decision-making abilities
• Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in an Asian language is advantageous
• Proactive team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment alongside a diverse international team
