Job summary

DBS Bank Ltd is seeking a Data Governance professional to support data quality, cataloging, and governance across the organization. You will design and enhance processes ensuring data integrity and drive ethical, safe deployment of AI governance practices.

The role requires collaboration with business and technology teams, experience in data risk, and the ability to lead in cross-functional settings within DBS Bank’s Data Management group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in data governance or data risk-related roles.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and data visualization tools.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, execution, and enhancement of initiatives aimed at improving data quality, consistency, and integrity.
• Implement and support processes for data quality improvement, data cataloging, and metadata management.
• Support the development of standards, controls, procedures, and accountability frameworks for data governance implementation across various units.
• Assist in the development and implementation of AI governance policies and frameworks to ensure the ethical, safe, and compliant deployment of AI throughout the organization.
• Evaluate AI use cases and offer expert guidance to use-case teams regarding specific governance considerations.
• Engage with stakeholders across business and technology domains to cultivate a culture of responsible AI and provide recommendations on governance best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data governance or data risk-related roles.
• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, Python and data visualization tools.
• Exceptional communication, strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
• Prior experience in data management, data risk, or similar relevant areas is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Comfortable and effective in cross-functional, collaborative work environments.
• Capable of working both independently and as an integral part of a team.
