Job summary

SmarTone Telecommunications Limited is recruiting for a Senior Accounts Receivable/Revenue Accountant in Hong Kong. You will lead the AR team, supervise month-end closings related to revenue and receivables, and ensure accurate billing and reconciliations across billing platforms and ERP systems.

You will partner with multiple units to drive compliance, internal controls and process improvements while managing priorities in a dynamic telecommunications and payments environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Qualified HKICPA member or equivalent.
• 5–7 years accounting experience with AR/revenue or billing exposure.
• Telecom, retail or payments industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP and billing platforms advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Independent, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience leading or supervising a small team; suitable for accountant role with less experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Accounts Receivable team and oversee month-end close for revenue and receivables.
• Monitor daily operations: collections, refunds, billing and gateway reconciliations.
• Reconcile billing systems, payment platforms and accounting system for revenue accuracy.
• Review customer balances, aging and collection status; investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure revenue assurance and compliance with policies and standards.
• Collaborate with business units to provide accounting guidance and resolve issues.
• Participate in system enhancements, UAT and process improvement initiatives.
• Streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency and controls.
• Perform ad hoc assignments as required.
