Job summary

HKUMed – The University of Hong Kong is seeking a Manager/Assistant Manager to lead the faculty's research postgraduate programme and provide comprehensive administrative support. The role oversees recruitment, admissions, progress monitoring, and coursework, and supports facilities, budgeting, HR, and committee operations.

• A good university degree and at least 8 years’ relevant administrative experience in higher education, public, or quasi-public sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Sound organizational, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• A good level of IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Managing the research postgraduate (RPg) programme at the faculty level, including recruitment, admissions, progress monitoring, and coursework.
• Providing administrative support to core research facilities, including access booking, budgeting, HR, and committee support.
• Organizing seminars and workshops to promote research integrity and good practices for HKUMed staff and students.
• Performing other duties as assigned to facilitate faculty-level initiatives.
