Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong is seeking a Security Supervisor to join the Security team. The role centers on leading daily security operations, guarding guest and hotel information, and upholding the highest standards across shifts in a luxury 5-star setting.

Based in Hong Kong, you will supervise a team of Security Officers, provide coaching, and ensure effective communication and emergency readiness while maintaining a professional, approachable presence for guests and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the same capacity in international 5-star luxury hotels.
• Well organized and structured.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, open mind to different cultures, friendly and sociable.
• Good command in English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive the day-to-day security operation through effective leadership of a team of Security Officers.
• Coach junior colleagues to maintain hotel and department standards.
• Safeguard information relating to the hotel, guests and company.
• Present a professional and reassuring image to hotel guests and colleagues.
• Lead from the front and maintain high standards in all duties.
• Conduct regular checks of guest room security features (safes, latches, peepholes, emergency buttons).
• Ensure high levels of guard tour patrol compliance among security officers.
• Facilitate effective communication flow across three shift teams with thorough handovers.
• Attend routine and critical emergency responses and drills.
• Generate monthly duty rosters and submit to Security Manager/SM.
• Chair pre-shift briefings and update security officers with relevant information.
• Deploy manpower resources to meet daily operational demands.
• Inform Security Manager of overtime requirements with justifications.
• Coordinate refreshment breaks without compromising standards.
• Direct hands-on support to front-line Officers during peak periods.
• Respond promptly to security and safety incidents.

About The Job

Based at Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong within Security Department in Hong Kong, the Security Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and upholding corporate standards at all times. The Security Supervisor reports to the Security Manager.

As Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Drive the day-to-day Security Operation through the effective and efficient leadership of a team of Security Officers.
• Offer practical guidance and coaching to all junior colleagues, ensuring that Hotel and Departmental standards are strictly and consistently maintained.
• Safeguard all information relating to the Hotel, Guests and Company.
• Project an impeccable professional, confident, efficient and reassuring image to all Hotel guests, patrons, visitors and colleagues alike.
• Act as a perfect role model to all Security Officers – Lead from the front – carry out all duties to a high standard as a constant demonstration of example.
• Conducts regular checks of guest room security features e.g. safes, security latches, peepholes and emergency buttons.
• Ensures high levels of guard tour patrol compliance amongst all security officers.
• Environmental care: re-using, recycling or selling waste; conserves water and energy at all available opportunities and maintain clean surroundings of all Hotel areas, including the Security Control Room.
• Facilitates effective and reliable communication flow across the three shift teams (e.g. Comprehensive handovers to the next Shift Supervisor) ensuring that all intelligence, information and developments are efficiently and accurately exchanged throughout the department.
• Attends to routine and critical Emergency Response activations and conducts appropriate drills and training.
• Generate monthly duty rosters and submit to Security Manager / SM.
• Chair pre-shift briefings, ensuring that all security officers are fully updated with relevant information.
• Deploy manpower resources efficiently and effectively in order to meet planned and reasonably foreseeable unplanned daily operational demands.
• Inform the Security Manager / SM of any necessary overtime requirements, with full justifications.
• Coordinate specified refreshment breaks (meals etc) without compromising operational standards.
• Direct hands-on support / assistance to front line Officers, paying attention to peak periods etc.
• Immediate response to security and safety occurrences (e.g. incidents and accidents).

As Security Supervisor, We Expect From You

• Minimum 3 years’ experience of the same capacity in international 5-star luxury hotels.
• Well organized and structured
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, open mind of different culture, friendly, approachable and sociable
• Motivational with enthusiastic character with excellent listening skills
• Good command in English, knowledge in other languages is an advantage.
• Candidates with less experiences will be considered as Senior Security Officer / Security Officer.
