Job summary

COFCO Capital (Hong Kong) Co., Limited is seeking a seasoned Settlements professional to oversee daily securities settlements, ensure data accuracy, and manage reconciliations with counterparties. You will maintain settlement systems, support onboarding of new products, and liaise with front-office and compliance to mitigate operational risk.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines.
3–5 years hands-on experience in securities settlement, clearing, and middle/back-office operations.
Holder of SFC Type 1 license and knowledge of the Securities and Futures Ordinance.
End‑to‑end settlement process understanding for exchange-traded and OTC products.
Strong accounting skills for trade booking and reconciliation; familiarity with system implementations or automation projects is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English.
Highly responsible, detail-oriented, and capable of cross‑functional coordination.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily settlement of securities transactions and related accounting entries.
Lead daily position and cash reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with counterparties.
Maintain settlement systems and coordinate with IT and vendors on upgrades.
Prepare and submit settlement reports, liquidity updates, and risk indicators.
Develop and refine SOPs and control frameworks; identify operational risks and mitigation.
Liaise with front-office, compliance, and external stakeholders; assist in product onboarding.
