Job summary

A leading bank in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Audit Manager with a minimum of 10 years in audit, preferably within the banking sector or professional firms. The role involves planning and completing audit assignments, identifying control weaknesses, and enhancing internal controls. Candidates with professional qualifications and a solid knowledge of banking processes are preferred. Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua is required. A competitive salary package is offered.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of annual audit plan
• Plan, supervise, perform and complete audit assignments based on risk assessment and preliminary evaluation of internal controls
• Manage and complete audit assignments according to annual audit plan
• Identify root cause of the weaknesses, recommend internal control improvements to various units and prepare audit reports for management
• Perform follow-up review/verification on the effectiveness and timeliness of remedial actions taken for the findings raised by the regulators, internal and external audit
• Carry out special investigation projects and other ad hoc assignments whenever required

Requirements

• Degree holder or above in Accounting, Business Administration or Banking & Finance or equivalent qualifications
• Holders of professional qualification of HKICPA, CIA, FRM or equivalent qualifications are preferred
• Minimum 10 years’ audit experience, preferably in the banking sector or professional firms
• Sound knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
• Good knowledge of major banking processes and related regulatory requirements
• Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua
