Job summary

A leading financial institution in Hong Kong seeks an experienced professional for a financial reporting role. The candidate will prepare and review financial reports and implement new accounting standards while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. A degree in Accounting along with at least 5 years of experience in the banking industry is essential. Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua is required for effective communication with stakeholders. An attractive remuneration package will be offered.

Qualifications

• Degree holder or above in Accounting or equivalent qualifications at HKQF level 5.
• Minimum 5 years of financial reporting experience in the banking industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge and solid experience in regulatory reporting.
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Prepare / Review financial reports relating to HKMA, CBRC, Head Office or other regulatory or Census bodies
• Implement new accounting standards and polices and ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and relevant standards, guidelines, procedures and local regulatory requirements
• Get involved in system enhancement related to regulatory / reporting issues
• Maintain good internal control & ensure effectiveness in financial reporting

Qualifications

• Degree holder or above in Accounting or equivalent qualifications at HKQF level 5, with well versed knowledge in SQL applications
• Minimum 5 years’ financial reporting experience gained from the banking industry, comprehensive knowledge and solid experience in regulatory reporting
• Familiar with Basel III especially on regulatory capital requirement will be an advantage

The above post requires proficiency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
