Job summary

ST Engineering Urban Solutions in Hong Kong is seeking a Mobile Coverage Engineer to design, implement, test, commission, and maintain mobile coverage systems, coordinating with MNOs, rail operators, consultants, and subcontractors to meet project specs and safety standards.

The role requires hands-on RF engineering for DAS, BTS, RUs, fibre networks, RF feeders, and passive components, plus site surveys, drive tests, KPI analysis, fault investigations, and night works when MRT operations are

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
Experience in RF engineering or DAS.
Knowledge of LTE, 5G NR, GSM, UMTS and RF propagation.
Familiarity with RF testing equipment: spectrum analysers, PIM analysers, cable/antenna analysers, OTDRs, power meters.
Experience with drive test tools (Nemo Handy) is advantageous.
Understanding of fibre optic systems and BTS/RU equipment.
Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong communication and coordination with stakeholders.
Willingness to perform night works for MRT schedules.

Responsibilities

Plan, design, and implement DAS, BTS, RUs, fibre networks and RF components.
Prepare system design, installation drawings, RF calculations, testing procedures.
Coordinate with MNOs on integration, testing, and commissioning.
Conduct RF site surveys, drive tests, and troubleshoot using industry tools.
Analyze KPIs such as RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, throughput and handovers.
Investigate RF issues including PIM, interference, and feeder losses.
Support FAT, SAT, ATP, IST activities and night works as required.
Coordinate with civil/electrical/signalling teams and supervise subcontractors.
Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and risk assessments.
