Job summary

China Merchants Bank Hong Kong Branch is seeking an experienced Internal Control (Operation Risk Control) professional for Retail Business Management. You will develop and implement controls, optimize branch processes, and support stakeholders on operations compliance and risk topics.

Responsibilities include driving process improvements and automation, preparing risk reports for senior management, and partnering with audit and compliance teams to strengthen the first-and-a-half line of defense;

Qualifications

• University degree or above.
• At least 5 years banking experience.
• Knowledge of local regulatory requirements, investment and insurance products, industry practices and market dynamics.
• Hands-on experience in monitoring and controlling operational processes to minimize operational risk exposures.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies and procedures with appropriate controls to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Optimize branch operations work processes to enhance work efficiency and customer experience.
• Provide guidance and support to business stakeholders on retail banking operations compliance matters and day-to-day inquiries.
• Drive process re-engineering and automation initiatives to support business growth and operational quality.
• Identify areas for improvement based on customer complaints, audit reports and risk incidents.
• Prepare risk management reports for senior management and second-line stakeholders.
• Partner with internal control, audit and compliance teams to strengthen the first-and-a-half line of defense.
• Handle ad-hoc assignments as assigned.
