Job summary

XTransfer in Hong Kong seeks a seasoned professional to take ownership as Responsible Officer for its SFC-regulated activities. You will provide regulatory and management oversight, uphold governance and risk controls, and collaborate with Compliance and Risk to address regulatory matters and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience within banking, payments, fintech, securities, asset management or regulated financial services.
• Currently approved, previously approved or eligible to be approved by the SFC as a Responsible Officer for the relevant regulated activity.
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong financial-services regulations, SFC requirements, AML/CFT and cross-border fund movements.
• Experience in financial institution partnerships, commercial negotiation and stakeholder management is a bonus
• Strong management, analytical and communication skills with the ability to balance commercial objectives and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as Responsible Officer for the company's relevant SFC-regulated activities in HK, subject to SFC approval.
• Provide management and supervisory oversight of regulated activities and ensure compliance with SFO, SFC requirements and internal policies.
• Oversee governance, internal controls and risk-management processes relating to the regulated business.
• Work closely with Compliance, Legal and senior management on regulatory matters and new business initiatives.
• Support SFC regulatory filings, inspections, enquiries and ongoing licensing requirements in the local market.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with banks, payment institutions and other financial institutions in HK and globally.
• Develop and execute partnership strategies, including partner identification, commercial negotiation, onboarding and ongoing relationship management.
• Drive channel integration and payment optimisation projects in collaboration with Product, Operations, Compliance and Risk teams.
