Job summary

Rider Levett Bucknall Limited (RLB) is seeking an experienced Resident Quantity Surveyor for a site-based role in Fanling, Hong Kong. The successful candidate will perform comprehensive Quantity Surveying duties on site, liaising with contractors and stakeholders, and contributing to meetings with clients.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant Quantity Surveying experience; HKIS membership (MHKIS) or equivalent is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with project teams.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Prior experience with a Quantity Surveying consultancy is preferred.
• Candidates available for immediate commencement will be given preference.
• Employment will be offered on a contract basis for 1 year, with possible extension.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the site office project team to perform comprehensive Quantity Surveying duties, including valuation of variations, interim payment valuations, cost estimating, reviewing contractors’ quotations and claims, negotiation and settlement of final accounts.
• Liaise effectively with contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Attend and contribute to project meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• Foster and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships with the Client, site team, and relevant parties.
• Report to the Project Team Leader at the site office and carry out duties with minimal supervision.
