Job summary

VS Partners in Hong Kong is seeking a Research Analyst/Associate to join the Investment Team. You will conduct research on fund managers globally, support interviews, and prepare succinct DD reports while assisting business development with client materials.

The role requires a solid background in economics, finance or science, plus at least 3 years in asset management, brokerage or investment banking. Strong English communication and a proactive, team-oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of working experience in top-tier asset managers, brokers or investment banks.
• Strong English writing and verbal communication skills.
• Overseas working/study experience is a plus.
• Logical, independent and risk-minded thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Research Analyst / Associate – Investment Team

Role & Responsibilities:

• Under the supervisory of senior analyst, conduct research on fund managers and their products in US, China and other parts of the world
• Coordinate and participate on fund manager interviews and write succinct and reader-friendly DD reports
• Support the Business Development by preparing necessary pitch and client review materials, and assist in communications with existing clients and prospects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above from reputable academic institutions; Economics, Finance or Science background preferred.

Minimum 3 years of working experiences gained from China top tier asset managers, brokers or investment banks with strong analytic background from research, investment or investment banking

• Strong English writing and verbal communication skills
• Overseas working / study experience is a plus.
• Logical, independent and risk-minded thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities
• A natural self-starter with global aspiration and the commitment and desire to break out of comfort zones for new initiatives, with ability to handle projects under time pressure
• Good team player, who will be able to fit in an entrepreneurial but collaborative style.
