Job summary

Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. in Hong Kong seeks a seasoned Relationship Manager to cover Taiwan/PRC clients, delivering professional customer service and identifying growth opportunities.

You will conduct KYC/CDD, monitor credit with RMs, and cultivate long-term partnerships while expanding loans, deposits and fee income in a regulated, client-centric environment.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Business/Finance or related discipline.
• ECF-RWM qualification preferred.
• At least 4 years in investment & life insurance sales / RM or corporate & investment banking.
• Experience handling Taiwanese and/or PRC business.
• Qualified to carry out regulated activities in insurance and investment.
• Fluent in English and Chinese, including Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Explore Taiwanese and/or PRC business opportunities and fulfil customer banking needs with professional service.
• Identify Taiwan/PRC customer needs through KYC and ongoing CDD review, credit monitoring with RMs.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Explore Taiwanese and/or PRC business opportunities and fulfil customer banking / financial needs by providing professional and exceptional customer service
• Identify Taiwan and/or PRC customer needs through account opening KYC and ongoing CDD review, credit monitoring with Relationship Managers
• Cultivate long-term relationship with Taiwan and/or PRC customers and explore new business opportunities
• Penetration of banking products/ service wherever satisfying best customer outcome, which includes investment & insurance products and securities services.
• Facilitating Branch Manager and Relationship Managers for a comprehensive account planning that includes growth of loan, deposits & fee incomes as well as ensure satisfactory risk management of Taiwan and/or PRC customers and portfolio within the Branch and Cluster responsible for.
• Assist to prepare, track and be accountable for monthly reports presented to SCSB as well materials for quarterly Tri-Bank meeting.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Business/Finance or related discipline, professional qualification of ECF-RWM is preferred
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in investment & life insurance sales / relationship manager or being familiar with corporate & investment banking
• Experience in handling Taiwanese and/or PRC business
• Qualified individual to carry out regulated activities in insurance and investment
• Self-motivated, customer-centric and able to work under pressure
• Strong interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua
