Regional Digital Growth Manager (Retail)
This role combines commercial ownership with hands-on delivery, connecting e-commerce, customer communications, membership programmes and physical retail into a consistent customer experience. You will translate business objectives into market-specific plans and continuously improve performance across the customer lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver regional CRM and e-commerce plans across regions with accountability for e-commerce sales and customer-acquisition KPIs.
- Establish market-level priorities and action plans covering acquisition, conversion, repeat purchase and loyalty, including acquisition quality and cost.
- Build customer lifecycle programmes spanning prospect engagement, first purchase, repeat purchase, loyalty and reactivation.
- Develop customer segmentation, including recency, frequency and monetary value analysis, and oversee targeting, contact rules, database quality and consent management.
- Manage email, SMS, membership and loyalty programmes, refining communications and offers based on customer behaviour and commercial results.
- Oversee ongoing e-commerce optimisation, including product merchandising, campaign landing pages, promotional mechanics and conversion testing.
- Define requirements for user experience, SEO and on-site capabilities such as search, chat and personalisation, partnering with IT and vendors on technical implementation.
- Manage business rules and workflows within email marketing, membership and messaging platforms.
- Integrate store-based customer engagement into regional CRM programmes to support membership participation, customer recognition and conversion.
- Partner with campaign and local marketing teams to align customer communications and online activity with brand positioning and campaign objectives.
- Monitor sales and customer performance throughout each reporting period, identifying gaps early and implementing timely corrective actions.
- Explore alternative channels, partnerships, tools and customer-engagement approaches where existing activity is not delivering the required results.
- Provide clear weekly performance reviews covering sales against target, new and existing customers, conversion, sales mix, membership quality and lifetime value.
- Assess the underlying contribution of campaigns and promotions, distinguishing sustainable customer growth from short-term promotional uplift.
- Collaborate with Retail, Operations, IT, Finance and external partners to deliver regional priorities while accommodating local market needs.
- Recommend commercial offers in line with company pricing policies, which remain under Retail and Finance ownership.
- Apply AI tools where relevant and continue developing practical knowledge of their use in day-to-day work.
Requirements
- Experience managing e-commerce and/or CRM within retail, fashion or lifestyle businesses.
- Demonstrated ownership of e-commerce revenue or customer-acquisition targets, with examples of actions taken to address underperformance.
- Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms and analytics tools.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate customer and trading data into clear commercial decisions.
- Confidence working with CRM and e-commerce systems, defining business requirements and collaborating with technical specialists.
- An adaptable, delivery-focused approach, with the ability to reprioritise as business needs and market conditions change.
- A proactive learning mindset and the ability to become effective quickly with new tools, markets and processes.
- Professional proficiency in English; Cantonese or Mandarin would be an advantage.
