Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a System Technical Manager in Southern District, Hong Kong, to lead the technical design and system engineering activities for complex railway projects from concept through commissioning.

You will serve as the primary technical interface with customers, oversee a multidisciplinary engineering team, and ensure deliverables meet safety, cost, quality and schedule requirements. Strong English and Chinese communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years working experiences in technical department or technical position in project department of machinery companies.
• Project managing skill as project manager or project engineer is preferable.
• Be proficient in spoken and written English.
• Written and spoken Chinese is not mandatory but can be a plus.
• Ability to work independently with strong communication skills and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities and a willingness to continuously train and learn new skills, both technical and operational.
• Previous experience or knowledge of the railway industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Attend technical meetings with Customer and be the technical contact of the project.
• Serve as the technical interface and lead the design team from concept to commissioning.
• Coordinate with project manager and design office team; manage design documentation.
• Lead the technical design team and ensure interface documents and drawings are finalized.
• Prepare and review design reviews, validations, and reports.
• Provide monthly reporting on technical and cost to Design Office Manager.
