Job summary

Creatin’ (造物), a Hong Kong start-up in San Po Kong, is hiring an R&D Associate, 3D Design and Digital Fabrication on a full-time 12-month contract or permanent basis. You will help build the design-to-manufacturing layer of our AI-driven platform for fashion brands.

You’ll develop parametric 3D reference models, define tolerances, annotate samples, fabricate test pieces, and document methods for the lead R&D engineer.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in architecture, computational design, product or industrial design, or a related STEM discipline.
• Experience with parametric or computational design tools (Rhino/Grasshopper) and 3D modelling.
• Experience with digital fabrication or physical prototyping.
• Ability to turn a design into dimensioned, constructible information.
• Right to work in Hong Kong for the full contract period.
• Good written and spoken English; Chinese is an advantage.
• Basic scripting (e.g. Python) is a plus.
• Experience with jewellery, leather, fashion or product manufacturing.
• Portfolio showing built or fabricated work.

Responsibilities

• Develop parametric 3D reference models and construction rules for product categories such as leather goods and jewellery/accessories.
• Define measurement points, tolerances and defect classes that our computer vision system will check against.
• Measure and annotate physical samples to build a benchmark dataset of design-versus-sample pairs.
• Prototype and fabricate test pieces (e.g. 3D printing, wax models) to validate our specifications.
• Document your methods and results, and report progress regularly to the lead R&D engineer.

About us

Creatin’ is a Hong Kong start‑up building an AI platform for fashion and lifestyle brands. We turn a brand’s design into a factory‑ready bilingual specification, then use computer vision to check every factory sample against the approved design. Our goal is to end the cycle of wrong samples and repeated sampling rounds that small brands face when producing in the Greater Bay Area.

The role

You will build the design-to-manufacturing layer of our platform. You’ll work with our AI and computer vision engineers to define what a correct product looks like in three dimensions, so that our software can generate specifications factories can build from and verify real samples against them. This is a full‑time R&D role with no sales, marketing or sourcing duties.
