Job summary

SA Project Limited, a leading interior fit-out main contractor in Hong Kong, seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and drive tendering, cost estimation and commercial management for interior projects. You will collaborate with estimation, project and site teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate budgets, cost control and timely payment assessments.

The role requires strong English and Cantonese communication and a proactive, detail-oriented

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Minimum 5 years of QS experience
• Experience in commercial interior fitting-out projects
• Proficient in tender pricing and cost estimation
• Experience in pre-contract and post-contract administration

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender pricing, cost estimates and budgets
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documents
• Carry out quantity take-off and measurement
• Obtain and analyse quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
• Handle subcontractor tendering, procurement and subletting
• Manage pre-contract and post-contract QS duties
• Prepare interim payment applications and assess subcontractors' payments
• Prepare, evaluate and negotiate variations and additional works
• Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance
• Prepare, negotiate and settle final accounts
• Maintain proper cost, contractual and commercial records

Job description

SA Project, a leading force in interior fit-out main contracting in Hong Kong, invites talented and experienced QS to join our team. As a crucial member of our dynamic organization, you will play a pivotal role in the tendering process, ensuring precise cost estimation and contributing to the success of our projects. You will be working closely with our estimation, project, site team, clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tender pricing, cost estimates and budgets for interior fitting-out and building works
• Review tender drawings, specifications and contract documents
• Carry out quantity take-off and measurement
• Obtain and analyse quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
• Handle subcontractor tendering, procurement, negotiation and subletting
• Manage both pre-contract and post-contract QS duties
• Prepare interim payment applications and assess subcontractors' payments
• Prepare, evaluate and negotiate variations and additional works
• Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance
• Prepare, negotiate and settle final accounts
• Maintain proper cost, contractual and commercial records throughout the project

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Studies, Construction Management or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years' relevant Quantity Surveying experience
• Proven experience in commercial interior fitting-out projects
• Strong experience in tender pricing and cost estimation
• Good experience in both pre-contract and post-contract administration
• Main contractor experience is highly preferred
• Good knowledge of measurement, procurement, payment assessment, variations and final accounts
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and AutoCAD
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Able to work independently and meet tight project deadlines
• Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese
