Job summary

J-Mploy Pte Ltd is seeking a Cost Estimator to support tender submissions and pre-contract cost planning in AMK. You will establish cost databases, calculate construction costs from drawings, and assist in evaluating contractual claims and project progress.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and valid EA registration. You will prepare budgets, monitor costs, and coordinate with subcontractors to secure quotations for awards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate tender submissions and prepare Bills of Quantities.
• Establish cost databases for materials and sources.
• Calculate pre-contract construction costs from drawings and documents.
• Assist in assessing contractual claims and project progress.
• Invite and evaluate quotations from subcontractors for awards.
• Prepare project budgets, reports and cost estimates.
• Monitor budgets and track direct project costs.
• Resolve outstanding claim issues on final accounts and variation orders promptly.

Job Duties

• Evaluation of tender, preparation of tender submission and Bill of Quantity
• Establish database for costs, materials and supply sources.
• To calculate the cost of construction for a project(pre-contract) based on the drawings and documents.
• To assist in the assessment of all contractual claims, work progress, etc.
• To invite sub-contractors of various trades to submit quotations for the projects and evaluate the quotation accordingly to the necessary award of the Sub-Con.
• Preparation of project budgets, reports and cost estimation.
• Monitor budget and keep track of direct costs on projects.
• To resolve any outstanding claim issues on Final Accounts and Variation Orders promptly
