Nex, headquartered in Hong Kong, is seeking a QA Manager to own end-to-end quality across hardware, firmware, PlayOS, and game experiences for Nex Playground. The role blends hands-on testing with strategic quality planning to ensure stable, responsive, and delightful user experiences across real-world conditions.

You will partner with engineering and game cells to identify risks, prevent regressions, and support confident release decisions, while driving automated regression and tools

Qualifikationen

• Strong hands-on QA experience in system-level testing, firmware or OS validation, or hardware–software integration.
• Experience designing risk-based test strategies and executing exploratory testing.
• Experience validating firmware or OTA update flows, including failure handling, rollback, and recovery.
• Experience investigating performance and reliability issues using logs and crash data.
• Ability to create maintainable automated tests, tools, or scripts in at least one language.

Aufgaben

• Own validation for hardware bring-up and ongoing compatibility across revisions and PlayOS versions.
• Define test plans across EVT, DVT, and PVT and ensure coverage of boot, update, rollback, and recovery.
• Maintain a compatibility matrix for hardware revisions, PlayOS, and game builds.
• Partner with engineering to isolate hardware–software issues and verify fixes.
• Define release gates and evidence-based go/no-go criteria for hardware/firmware releases.
• Drive defect triage and communicate release risk to teams.
