Job summary

Nex, a San Jose and Hong Kong–based innovator in active play hardware, seeks a Senior Electronic Engineer to drive hardware development for Playground products. You will build and validate PCBAs, set rigorous standards, and guide JDM partners through design, validation, and production.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years developing electronic systems for connected consumer products with mass production experience.
• Strong fundamentals in digital/analog, power, high-speed interfaces, PCB, and system architecture.
• Experience turning findings into product recommendations and providing verification criteria.
• Hands-on prototype building, debugging, and lab testing; familiarity with design reviews and testing reports.
• Experience leading work with JDM/ODM partners and driving corrective actions to improve yield and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Build, bring up, and validate functional PCBAs through EVT, production, and sustaining.
• Set precise requirements, interfaces, margins, and acceptance criteria; codify as design guidelines.
• Lead JDM execution, guiding design, validation, industrialization, production, and sustaining.
• Establish and scale failure-analysis capabilities; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate technologies and components to inform future product directions.
