Job summary

Swing Consulting Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a QA Engineer to drive Excel automation and data quality across banking/finance systems. You will partner with SMEs to execute UAT, perform functional data testing, log defects, and update test scripts and user guides.

You will also build Excel-based tools to streamline data formatting, cleaning, and reporting. The role requires at least 1 year in QA or operations support, strong Excel skills, and the ability to analyze patterns to identify root

Qualifications

University degree in computer science, business information systems, information technology, business administration or related disciplines.
At least 1 year of relevant experience in quality assurance, business analyst or operation support roles.
Strong proficiency in Excel formulas and debugging, with experience creating tools to automate daily tasks.
Ability to analyze data patterns, spot discrepancies, and understand the "why" behind operational errors.
Familiarity with the UAT process, including executing test scripts, logging defects, and verifying fixes.
Proven ability to manage routine administrative duties with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent business writing skills with the ability to draft clear emails and documentation.
Ability to switch seamlessly between routine operational tasks and project-based technical support as priorities shift.

Responsibilities

Partner with SMEs to execute User Acceptance Testing for system updates in a secure environment.
Perform functional data testing, log discrepancies in bug tracking tools, and verify that updates meet business requirements.
Update test scripts and user guides based on testing outcomes.
Build Excel and AI tools to automate repetitive data formatting, cleaning, and reporting tasks.
Identify manual workflows to streamline, reducing processing time and human error.
Design and maintain reports using advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables) for real-time operational visibility.
Execute routine operational tasks including data entry, document filing, and correspondence management with high accuracy.
Prepare and validate CSV files for system uploads to ensure correct formatting and prevent processing errors.
Monitor shared mailboxes, categorize and route inquiries, and maintain accurate response logs.
