Job summary

ABN AMRO Clearing Bank Hong Kong is seeking a Developer to join the RAMS team on a 6-month contract with potential extension. The role covers application development, production support and project implementation across APAC.

You will work with Java/Python/Perl, Linux, Git and CI tools; collaborate with vendors and IT stakeholders, participate in design, UAT, deployment, and on-call support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Developer (Java/Python/Perl preferred)
• Experience in application support or IT services is an advantage
• Exposure to financial services, trading, or clearing business is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain locally developed and third-party applications across the APAC region
• Perform analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of applications
• Gather business requirements and prepare functional documentation
• Provide day-to-day support to business users and resolve application-related issues
• Monitor systems, investigate incidents, and implement fixes or workarounds
• Enhance system monitoring tools and improve operational efficiency
• Collaborate with vendors for system upgrades, patches, and issue resolution
• Participate in project lifecycle including design, UAT testing, and production rollout
• Ensure solutions align with IT standards and best practices
• Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
• Manage deployments and source code using tools such as Git, Bamboo/Jenkins, and CVS
• Work within Agile or other delivery methodologies
• Participate in on-call support rota and occasional weekend support as required
