Job summary

Cathay Pacific is seeking a Project Manager - Subsidaries to lead the planning, execution and delivery of multiple IT initiatives across subsidiary units. The role focuses on delivering outcomes within time, budget and quality targets while shaping project management practices across the organization.

You will work with diverse stakeholders and gain exposure to enterprise delivery, IT operations and business transformation in a dynamic, 24x7 environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in project management.
• Experience delivering large-scale IT projects across multiple business units.
• Experience managing OPEX budgets and cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to AI, automation and digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Role Introduction

Reports to: Head of IT Enterprise Solutions, Regions & Subsidiaries

As the Project Manager - Subsidaries, you will lead the planning, execution and delivery of multiple IT projects, ensuring objectives are achieved within agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards across our subsidaries. You will help shape project management best practices while enabling business and technology teams to achieve strategic goals.

You will have the opportunity to work on large-scale technology initiatives, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and gain exposure to enterprise project delivery, IT operations and business transformation. You will also have the opportunity to influence project management standards and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, budget and scope
• Develop project plans, resource requirements and delivery approaches to achieve project objectives effectively
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders across teams and departments to drive innovation and strategic outcomes
• Manage and motivate project teams, providing leadership and direction throughout the project lifecycle
• Oversee project budgets, costs, risks and dependencies, ensuring effective governance and reporting
• Deliver technology initiatives that support operational sustainability and continuous service improvement
• Apply project management best practices and contribute to the enhancement of project delivery standards across IT
• Communicate project progress, risks and issues clearly, and support management in developing mitigation plans
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and knowledge sharing within project teams
• Coach and mentor team members and vendors, promoting accountability and high performance in project delivery

Requirements

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Business or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in project management role
• Proven project mangement experience in large-scale project implementation with multiple business units with differing business models and priorities
• Proven experience in managing OPEX Cost/Budget management
• Experience delivering IT solutions within catering, logistics, manufacturing, aviation, or other 24x7 operational environments is highly desirable
• Exposure to AI, automation, analytics and digital transformation initiatives
• Ability to handle resistance and align diverse stakeholder groups toward common objectives
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all organizational levels
• Ability to engage and guide senior management to make decision in the Project Steering Committee
