China Overseas Land & Investment Ltd. in Hong Kong seeks a senior architectural professional to lead projects from feasibility through handover, ensuring premium design intent and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture or related discipline.
• Member of HKIA or equivalent; Authorized Person (AP) status advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience with major property developers or top-tier architectural practices.
• In-depth knowledge of local regulations and land administration procedures.
• Strong leadership, analytical problem-solving, and negotiation skills; able to work under pressure.
• Excellent command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire project development cycle from feasibility studies, master planning and schematic design, through to tender, construction and handover.
• Rigorously review architectural drawings, material submissions and method statements to ensure alignment with premium brand standards and design intent.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary external teams including lead architects, structural/MEP, QS and main contractors.
• Liaise with Buildings Department, Lands Department and Planning Department to ensure timely submissions, approvals and compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Monitor the project budget, manage variations, and proactively resolve site conflicts or design clashes to mitigate delays and cost overruns.

• Design & Quality Control: Rigorously review architectural drawings, material submissions and method statements to ensure alignment with the company’s premium brand standards and design intent
• Consultant & Contractor Management: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary external teams, including lead architects, structural/MEP, QS and main contractors
• Statutory & Government Liaison: Actively liaise with relevant government authorities (e.g., Buildings Department, Lands Department, Planning Department) to ensure timely submissions, approvals and compliance with all statutory requirements
• Risk & Cost Control: Work closely with the internal and external parties to monitor the project budget, manage variations, and proactively resolve site conflicts or design clashes to mitigate delays and cost overruns

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture or related discipline
• Member of HKIA or equivalent, possessing Authorized Person (AP) status will have a distinct advantage
• Minimum of 10 years of post‑qualification experience, solid track record working with major property developers or top‑tier architectural practices on large‑scale local projects
• In‑depth understanding of relevant regulations, land administration procedures and the local real estate market
• Strong leadership, analytical problem‑solving and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced corporate environment
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
