Job summary

IBMS TECHNOLOGY PTE LTD is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the deployment, installation, and commissioning of data centre infrastructure. You will manage M&E, builders work and structural works, ensuring timelines, quality and safety standards are met.

The role requires strong technical capability, project planning and coordination skills, and the ability to work with clients, vendors and manufacturers from construction to handover.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise installation and commissioning activities of data centre.
• Prepare and submit shop drawings, materials submissions, method statements, risk assessments and other required documentation.
• Review and interpret design documents, tender drawings and pre-construction documents; highlight discrepancies and propose solutions.
• Oversee deployment, installation and commissioning, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, standards and best practices.
• Work independently; manage multiple concurrent projects in various locations.
• Monitor progress and provide progress reports aligned with the master schedule.
• Ensure project costing stays within approved budget.
• Identify out-of-scope works and inform client; evaluate impact of variations.
• Attend site meetings with consultants, main contractors and clients; prepare minutes.
• Support SAT, troubleshooting and issue resolution during deployment and commissioning.
• Prepare project reports, documentation, and updates for management and clients.
• Enforce site discipline, cleanliness, and adherence to EHS standards.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the reporting manager.
• Conduct site surveys and provide engineering support and preliminary schedules for tenders.
• Lead the team of Project Engineers and oversee Project Delivery.

Job Scope

This includes managing Mechanical, Electrical,Builders Work and Structural Works, while ensuring adherence to projecttimelines, quality standards, and safety requirements.

The role requires strong technical capability coupled withproject planning and coordination skills. The Project Manager will work closelywith clients, vendors, and manufacturers to ensure smooth project executionfrom construction phase to data centre handover.

The Project Manager will lead a team of Project Engineersand be responsible for the Project Delivery of the Project Team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise installation and commissioning activities of data centre.
• Prepare and submit shop drawings, materials submissions, method statements, risk assessments and other required documentation.
• Review and interpret design document, tender drawings, shop drawings and other pre-construction documentations and highlight discrepancies and propose suitable solutions.
• Oversee the project deployment, installation and commissioning, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, industry standards and best practices.
• Able to work independently and is expected to manage multiple concurrent projects in various locations.
• Monitor project progress and update progress reports to ensure alignment with the master schedule.
• Ensure project costing does not exceed approved budget.
• Identify any works which are out of project scope and highlight to client as variation works. Evaluate the impact of the variation works (i.e. Cost and Schedule).
• Attend site meetings (project update or technical meeting) with consultants, main contractors and clients. Prepare and submit meeting minutes.
• Support site acceptance tests (SAT), troubleshooting activities, and issue resolution during deployment and commissioning.
• Prepare project reports, documentation, and updates for management and clients.
• Enforce site discipline, cleanliness, and adherence to EHS standards.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians, supervisors and contractors to ensure work quality and project compliance.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the reporting manager.
