Job summary

LONGPORT Whale delivers institutional trading solutions and manages securities systems for Hong Kong brokerage clients. The role focuses on delivering, configuring, testing, and supporting go-live for complex securities platforms with HKEX connectivity.

You will coordinate projects, work with clients and internal teams, and handle issues to ensure successful on-time delivery. Fluency in English and Chinese is required, with PMP as an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ project management experience, preferably in HK brokerage or securities systems.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
• Familiarity with securities systems framework, go-live processes, HKEX connectivity.
• Strong communication with clients and internal teams across functions.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin).

• Deliver and implement securities systems for HK brokerage clients including installation, config, testing and go-live support.

LONGPORT Whale provides institutional-grade trading solutions for brokers, banks, family offices, and other institutions with trading services. The platform delivers comprehensive access to multi-market, multi-asset trading through a single integrated system.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery and implementation of securities systems for Hong Kong brokerage clients, including installation, configuration, testing and go-live support
• Coordinate project resources, develop project plans, track project progress and ensure on-time delivery
• Provide technical support related to the Hong Kong securities market, including technical integration with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX)
• Gain an in-depth understanding of the securities system's fundamental framework and assist clients in completing system go-live
• Maintain efficient communication with clients and internal teams (technical, product, etc.) to ensure smooth project execution
• Troubleshoot issues encountered during project implementation, manage project risks and improve client satisfaction
• Assist in other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree holder or above, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Financial Engineering or related fields
• Minimum 3 years’ of project management experience, with work experience in Hong Kong brokerage firms or related to securities systems preferred
• Holder of PMP certification is an advantage
• Familiarity with the foundational framework of securities systems, system go-live processes, and a good understanding of the Hong Kong securities market and HKEX connectivity
• Good communication skill, capable of seamless communication with clients and teams
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and stress management skills
• Excellent command in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin)
