Job summary

ATAL Engineering Group is seeking an Engineer (Mechanical Handling/Lifting Appliance/Crane) in Hong Kong to lead project coordination and the design of crane systems. You will liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors and sub-contractors to ensure smooth project execution.

You will plan lift schemes, perform structural calculations, prepare technical drawings and method statements, and manage on-site progress with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with overhead crane/gantry/monorail hoist systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (written and spoken).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Higher experience may lead to Senior Project Engineer/Project Engineer role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects between clients, consultants, main contractors and Sub-contractors.
• Plan, design and manage mechanical handling projects including lift plans and load calculations.
• Prepare engineering drawings, method statements, material approvals, and testing & commissioning reports.
• Monitor on-site progress, ensure workmanship quality and resolve on-site issues.
• Assist the Project Manager with tender preparation, cost analysis and contract administration.
