Job summary

Leighton Asia is seeking Site Engineer / Senior Engineer / Construction Manager to oversee program delivery on major building projects in Asia. You will manage budgets, schedules and risk, aligning cross-functional teams to common project goals.

You will lead subcontractor selection, client meetings and ensure SHEQ leadership across the team. Degree in engineering and extensive Asia project experience are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 25+ years of relevant experience in building projects.
• Proven experience leading mega-scale building projects in Asia.
• Strong commercial acumen with responsibility for profitability, contracts and risk.
• Strong leadership and decision making; industry bodies preferred.

• Assign targets across project parameters (revenue, profitability, milestones) and monitor to closure

Job description

• Execution of program management, deadlines and budget management
• Reporting on progress against plan and cost, on risk and developing and implementing risk treatment plans
• Align goals, responsibilities and tasks of team-members across multiple functions and departments to the common goals of the project
• Assign targets across multiple parameters of the project (such as revenue; project profitability, unapproved revenues, underclaims; project milestones / schedules, safety, cash flow) and monitor these to closure
• Devise a strategy for identifying, evaluating and selecting sub-contractors/ consultants/ suppliers based on project requirements; Leverage network for identification of suitable partners across the project
• Conduct periodic client meetings on project progress, anticipate needs, build trust, pre-empt and resolve issues in a collaborative manner
• Demonstrate workplace SHEQ leadership and team spirit cultivation

Job Requirements:

• Degree holder in Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 25 years of relevant experience in Building projects
• Proven experience leading mega-scale building projects in Asia
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated responsibility for project profitability, contractual matters, and risk management
• Strong leadership skills and decision making
• Membership or association to recognized industry bodies or institutes is preferable
