Job description

Ready to take your career global?

Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Product Manager, eCommerce Solutions to join our ever evolving Product team and help shape the future of global commerce. Whether you’re a merchant accepting payments, a bank issuing cards or a developer embedding payment technology, if it has anything to do with commerce, we’re already on it! That’s why 6m+ merchant locations and 7k+ software partners around the world rely on Global Payments to handle more than 94b transactions every year.

In Asia, Global Payments serves the small and medium business segment across Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines. Our merchants are the retailers, cafes, clinics and online sellers that make up most businesses in these markets. Few employ a payments specialist or a developer, so they rely on us to make acceptance work and to keep them on the right side of rules they had no part in writing.

Our SMB strategy is software-led. We bring payment acceptance together with the point-of-sale and eCommerce software merchants already use, so a small business can scale without first becoming a payments expert.

What you’ll own
  • Own compliance and mandate delivery by tracking card scheme and regulatory changes, translating requirements into product features, managing implementation timelines, and ensuring PCI DSS compliance for eCommerce acceptance.

  • Design seamless compliance solutions for SMBs, delivering requirements through the platform and partner integrations while minimizing effort and disruption for merchants.

  • Drive payment performance and conversion, improving approval rates, reducing false declines and authentication abandonment, and managing fraud and chargeback ratios.

  • Analyze payment data and optimize authorization outcomes, using insights to enhance exemption strategies, token management, credential updates, retry logic, and issuer performance.

  • Act as the compliance and payments subject matter expert, educating stakeholders on scheme changes, advocating for SMB merchant needs, collaborating with global platform teams, and evaluating emerging payment models and industry trends.

What you’ll bring
  • 5+ years of payments product management or delivery experience, with strong expertise in card-not-present (CNP) payment environments.

  • Deep understanding of card scheme mandates and compliance requirements, with the ability to interpret scheme bulletins and assess impacts on platforms and merchant portfolios.

  • Hands-on knowledge of the eCommerce payments ecosystem, including payment gateways, hosted and embedded checkouts, EMV 3DS, tokenization, fraud prevention tools, and alternative payment methods.

  • Proven track record of delivering compliance and regulatory initiatives to fixed deadlines, including experience with authentication, tokenization, fraud monitoring programs, and PCI DSS compliance.

  • Strong technical and operational capabilities, including SMB and partner-led distribution experience, independent stakeholder management, familiarity with REST APIs and basic SQL, and experience working in agile delivery environments.
