Senior Consultant, Product Management

Senior-Level Hong Kong 1 year contract

We build products that matter and we need senior product managers who lead with judgement, bring others with them, and drive outcomes that last.

The role

We are looking for a Senior Consultant, Product Management, someone who operates at the intersection of strategy, delivery, and client partnership. This is not a role for someone who waits to be told what to build; it is for someone who shapes what gets built, how it gets prioritised, and why it matters.

At the Senior Consultant level, you will lead product management engagements end-to-end across complex, multi-stakeholder environments, from framing the problem through to delivery and measurable outcomes. You will work with minimal oversight, coach more junior team members, and act as a trusted product partner to client leadership.

This role is fulfilled by a PSYKHE consultant embedded within our Client’s organisation, as a contract placement within a specific client team for 1 year, based in Hong Kong. You will bring the same depth of judgement, craft, and ownership.

Your Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Discovery

• Lead discovery and problem framing on complex engagements, defining the right questions before the right solutions
• Translate strategic goals into clear product vision, roadmaps, and prioritisation frameworks
• Conduct and direct user and stakeholder research to ground product decisions in evidence
• Define and track success metrics that connect product outcomes to business and client goals
• Identify and manage product risks, dependencies, and trade-offs with clarity and confidence

Delivery & Execution

• Own the product backlog end-to-end, ensuring it reflects the right priorities at every stage of delivery
• Translate strategy into well-scoped epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can act on
• Drive sprint ceremonies and agile delivery rhythms with focus and discipline
• Navigate governance, compliance, and approval processes in regulated environments without losing delivery pace
• Maintain consistently high standards in product thinking, documentation, and stakeholder communication

Stakeholder Management & Client Partnership

• Build trusted relationships with client leadership across business, product, and technology functions
• Communicate product direction, trade-offs, and progress clearly at all levels, including C-suite
• Manage competing stakeholder priorities with tact and resolve, keeping delivery on track
• Identify follow-on opportunities and contribute to shaping the next phase of client engagement

People Development & Practice

• Mentor Consultants and Associate Consultants, providing structured feedback and creating growth opportunities
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, playbooks, and PSYKHE's product management practice
• Support hiring through interviews, portfolio reviews, and assessment of candidates
• Model the standard for product craft, rigour, and professionalism across the team

Core Competencies

• End-to-end product management across discovery, definition, delivery, and iteration
• Roadmap development and stakeholder alignment in complex, multi-team environments
• Backlog ownership, sprint management, and agile delivery discipline
• User research, problem framing, and evidence-based decision-making
• Stakeholder management across business, product, and technology audiences at senior levels

Tools & Methods

• Agile and lean delivery practices in cross-functional squads
• Comfortable with Jira, Confluence, Miro, Figma, or equivalent
• Familiarity with product analytics tools and data-informed prioritisation approaches

Experience & Qualifications

Required

• Applicants must have the legal right to work in Hong Kong (no visa sponsorship)
• Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of product management experience, including leadership of complex engagements or products
• Demonstrated track record of owning product outcomes end-to-end in multi-stakeholder environments
• Experience working in or with consulting, agency, or embedded product teams
• Proven ability to manage senior client or executive relationships
• Experience mentoring or coaching junior product team members

Advantageous

• Background in sports, entertainment or non-profit / philanthropic industries.
• Experience with AI-enabled products, conversational experiences, or data platforms
• Exposure to business development, pitching, or practice-building in a consultancy context
• Tertiary qualification in business, technology, design, or a related discipline
