Job summary

Morgan Stanley Hong Kong is seeking a Prime Brokerage Operations Associate to provide direct client coverage and support key post-execution processes across equity and fixed income trading.

You will manage trade allocations, settlements and client inquiries, ensuring timely resolutions while driving service excellence and operational efficiency. The role collaborates with global teams to advance automation and controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial services operations.
• Experience in client servicing and stakeholder management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of risk management and escalation processes.
• High accuracy, attention to detail and numeracy.
• Analytical and investigative skills to identify issues.
• Ability to build effective relationships across local and global teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; VBA or macro experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily client-related functions including trade allocations, amendments, and reporting within specified timelines.
• Oversee swap trade allocations, investigate breaks and ensure timely resolution of exceptions.
• Perform cash trade matching and settlement activities while maintaining a focus on risk and controls.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients through proactive engagement and high-quality service delivery.
• Partner with global stakeholders and operational groups to address client needs and resolve issues effectively.
• Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency through root cause analysis and operational enhancements.
• Participate in straight through processing initiatives and system enhancement projects.
• Adhere to established controls, identify operational risks and elevate issues to management in a timely manner.
