Job summary

Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong is seeking a Product Support & Services Associate to support margin risk management for the International Prime Brokerage business by monitoring client exposures, managing operational risk, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver margin solutions.

The role sits in Operations, collaborating with Risk, Sales, Trading, Strats and Technology to quantify risk, run margin models, and provide timely quotes and margin calls, while upholding strong controls and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and draw risk-focused conclusions using strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Understanding of Prime Brokerage, hedge fund operations, derivatives, margin or collateral management processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with senior stakeholders and clients.
• Experience with Excel and analytical tools; Access is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide margin financing quotes with Risk, Sales and Trading teams.
• Collaborate with Risk, Strats and Tech to develop and stress-test margin lending models.
• Perform portfolio exposure analysis to identify risks across issuers, countries, markets and sectors.
• Attend client meetings to explain margin methodologies, analytics and reporting.
• Monitor client positions and margins to ensure policy compliance.
• Issue margin calls, monitor coverage and investigate exceptions.
• Analyze portfolio activity and trading behavior to identify risks.
• Collaborate with Clients, Risk Management, Account Managers and Tech to maintain an efficient operating environment.
• Drive strategic change and process improvements with Margin and MORS teams.
