Job summary

Leadingnation in Hong Kong is seeking a Pro AV Systems Designer to lead the technical delivery of Pro AV, Digital Signage, and LED Display projects. You will architect solutions, review tender docs, and provide pre-sales support to clients and internal teams.

The role requires 2+ years in Pro AV design, strong English and Chinese communication, and proficiency with AutoCAD and major brand ecosystems. The position offers a 5-day week, a competitive salary, medical and fringe benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience in Pro AV system design, pre-sales support, or tender preparation.
• Proficient with AI tools for researching brand specs and drafting technical docs.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MS Office, Visio or EdrawMax is expected.
• Written and spoken English and Chinese proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly review and evaluate Tender Documents, ERs and drawings to identify risks and constraints.
• Lead the preparation of technical submission packages including matrices, schedules, drawings and method statements.
• Architect AV, Digital Signage, and LED solutions for Design-Build/Design Consulting projects per InfoComm CTS standards.
• Generate System Block Diagrams, schematic drawings, and power/structural estimates.
• Evaluate hardware specs, signal management, AVoIP encoders/decoders, and displays to meet budgets/performance.
• Provide high-level pre-sales support, product demonstrations, PoC, and technical Q&A sessions.
• Collaborate with Sales Managers, report to Technical Manager, and coordinate with contractors, electrical engineers, and vendors.

About the role

This role involves leading the technical delivery of Pro AV, Digital Signage, and LED Display solutions across Design-Build and Design Consulting projects. You will architect optimal solutions, manage tender evaluations, prepare technical submissions, and provide pre-sales support to clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Thoroughly review and evaluate client Tender Documents, Employer's Requirements (ER), and Tender Drawings to identify system risks, technical gaps, and installation constraints
• Lead the preparation of technical submission packages, including Technical Compliance Matrices, Equipment Schedules, System Architecture Drawings, and Tender Method Statements
• Architect optimal AV, Digital Signage, and LED Display solutions for Design-Build and Design Consulting projects, ensuring compliance with InfoComm CTS standards
• Generate detailed System Block Diagrams (SBDs), schematic drawings, and structural loading/power estimation summaries
• Evaluate hardware specs, signal management systems, AVoIP encoders/decoders, and commercial displays to meet project budgets and performance requirements
• Provide high-level pre-sales technical support, product demonstrations, Proof of Concepts (PoC), and technical Q&A sessions for prospective clients
• Collaborate directly with Sales Managers, report to Technical Manager, and coordinate with contractors, electrical engineers, and hardware vendors

About you

• Higher Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Building Services, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Pro AV system design, pre-sales support, or tender preparation
• Practical capability in utilizing modern AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for technical research, cross-referencing brand specs, and drafting technical documentation
• Ability to leverage AI assistants to streamline AV system design workflows, spatial signal routing analysis, and project coordination
• Familiarity with industry-standard brands: Extron, Crestron, AMX, Shure, Logitech, Audinate (Dante), Biamp, QSC, BrightSign, Samsung/LG, and major LED display manufacturers
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Visio, or EdrawMax
• Strong communication, technical presentation, and stress-management skills
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
