Job summary

Randstad Hong Kong Limited seeks a Network Operations/Platform Engineer to provide day‑to‑day network support and own rollout delivery across APAC. You will manage WAN provisioning, security observability, and incident RCA, while automating with Python, Terraform, and Ansible.

Candidates should have 3+ years' related experience, hands‑on SD‑WAN with Meraki/Juniper, and fluency in English for regional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Network Operations, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on with Cisco/Juniper Meraki SD‑WAN and security appliances.
• Deep TCP/IP, routing/switching, DNS/DHCP and VPN knowledge.
• Strong AWS/Azure networking fundamentals and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience with Jira/JSM or ServiceNow for tickets and workflows.
• Fluent English for regional stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day network ops support and L3 troubleshooting.
• Own network delivery for new store rollouts across APAC, track milestones.
• Coordinate WAN provisioning and service activations with providers.
• Support security and observability platforms (Datadog, Splunk, Infoblox).
• Contribute to RCA, service improvements, and documentation.
• Identify efficiency gains via Python scripting and IaC (Terraform/Ansible).

About the job

• Perform day-to-day network operational support and L3 troubleshooting across enterprise networks, connectivity, VPNs, and cloud security environments.
• Take complete ownership of network delivery and coordination for new store rollouts across APAC markets, tracking circuit readiness, implementation, and go-live milestones.
• Coordinate WAN circuit provisioning, DIA/MPLS service activations, troubleshooting, and escalation activities with regional telecommunications providers.
• Support and maintain security and observability platforms, leveraging tools like Datadog, Splunk, and Infoblox IPAM.
• Support root cause analysis, service improvement initiatives, and maintain accurate network documentation and operational procedures.
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiency using basic Python scripting and Infrastructure as Code like Terraform and Ansible.

Skills & experiences required

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Network Operations, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco SD‑WAN, Meraki, or Juniper SD‑WAN, alongside Palo Alto Firewalls and GlobalProtect VPN.
• In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, Routing & Switching, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• Solid knowledge of AWS / Microsoft Azure networking fundamentals, cloud hybrid connectivity, MPLS, DIA, FTTx, and 4G/5G backup solutions.
• Experience using Jira, Jira Service Management (JSM), or ServiceNow.
• Fluent spoken and written English is required for regional stakeholder management.
