Job summary

OCBC Bank (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an Operations Clerk to join the clearing operations team. The role focuses on processing inward/outward clearing transactions, cheque clearing, and related activities to ensure accurate and timely settlement.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in banking or finance, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure, with proficiency in general PC applications and bilingual English/Chinese language skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process inward and outward clearing transactions, including clearing returns.
• Handle cheque clearing, CCASS, FINI, direct debit and direct credit activities.
• Verify, validate, data entry and reconcile clearing items.
• Generate and submit clearing data, image and return files to HKICL.
• Ensure tasks meet HKICL/HKSCC cut-off times.
• Liaise with internal departments and branches on clearing enquiries.
• Maintain audit/compliance documentation.
• Support UAT, readiness, procedure reviews and post-implementation activities.
